Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This policy explains how deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for projects booked with Wild Moa Media Limited, trading as Wild Moa ("Wild Moa", "we", "us", "our"). It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions. We do not sell products or take payments through this website — all payments relate to services booked directly with us, paid by bank transfer or a payment link included on your invoice.
1. Deposits
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a deposit is required before we begin work on a confirmed project. This deposit covers the time, planning, and resources committed to your project from the point of confirmation, and is non-refundable once work has begun.
2. Cancellations by you
If you need to cancel a confirmed project, please let us know in writing as soon as possible. The following applies unless your quote or agreement states otherwise:
- More than 14 days before a scheduled shoot, event, or delivery date: your deposit is retained; no further cancellation fee applies.
- 14 days or less before: 50% of the remaining project balance becomes payable, in addition to the deposit already paid, as crew, equipment, and time have already been committed on your behalf.
Where possible, we'd rather reschedule than cancel — get in touch and we'll do what we can to find a new date before any fees apply.
3. Cancellations or delays by us
If we need to cancel or postpone a confirmed project — for example, due to illness, severe weather, or circumstances outside our control — we will let you know as soon as possible and offer to reschedule at no extra cost. If we're unable to deliver the project and rescheduling isn't suitable, we will refund any payments made for work not yet delivered.
4. Changes of scope
Refunds don't apply to work already completed. If you'd like to reduce the scope of an in-progress project, we'll confirm in writing what's already been delivered or committed, and what (if anything) can be refunded or credited for work not yet started.
5. How refunds are paid
Where a refund is agreed, we will return the funds by bank transfer to the account the original payment was made from, generally within 10 business days.
6. Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, where these apply to our Services.
7. Contact
If you have questions about a deposit, cancellation, or refund, contact us at [email protected] or +64 27 341 3313.
